Did You Know That 19 Hours A Day At The Body Camp Is Spent On Relaxation And Restoration?
Many of our guests arrive at The Body Camp needing a physical and mental break from the daily treadmill of life. All they need is a week or sometimes even 2-4 weeks to recharge, restore and find their mojo again. The good news is that at The Body Camp our guests enjoy up to 19 hours a day of structured recovery time and relaxation.
Take a look at our programme below!
A.M. – 5 hours of maximum fun workouts
P.M. – 19 hours of sunbathing, recovery and sleep!
The morning hours are structured in a way that challenges the cardiovascular and muscular systems and rebuild everyone’s energy levels – no matter what background they’ve come from or how busy they have been previously.
So, how does The Body Camp help bring relaxation back into your life? The answer is very simple: 19 hours a day of structured ‘down time’ encouraging every single guest to rediscover their natural, internal Circadian rhythm!
What Is The Circadian Rhythm?
This is how the human body functions at its best – when it’s working in sync with the planet. Planet earth is a wonderful place; a place where humans have learnt for thousands of years to rise with the sun and go to sleep when the moon appears. The human body adapts to the environment. At The Body Camp, the programme is based around the incredibly Circadian rhythm.
We have found over the past 9 years (yes, it’s our 10th anniversary year in 2025, by the way!) that most guests arrive in ‘high-speed WiFi mode’, which is thinking fast, talking fast, and eating even faster! In their day to day lives, guests are working harder and harder, going to bed later and not exercising at the correct time of day or at all. With 19 hours of structured recovery, The Body Camp has a proven system in place designed to slow down our guests’ minds and bodies, which in turn helps reduce anxiety levels, stress and tension.
This is achieved by meeting them ‘where they are’ in their busy minds with a morning programme consisting of 5 hours of fun exercise, and then afterwards introducing them to a slower, regenerative, relaxed pace in an afternoon programme including yoga, meditation, sunbathing, reading, and sleeping for the remaining 19 hours of the day. In a nutshell, the morning programme is short, high-energy fun, and the afternoon programme is longer, more relaxing and slower paced.
Here are some examples of how our guests stimulate and challenge their mind and body in our unique morning programme:
Team sports
Hardcore boxing
Weight training
TRX circuits
CrossFit
Fartlek
Gladiator workouts
Hiking
Bike rides
Tabata Navy pool circuits
The world-famous ‘Goggins’ Challenge’
Ice baths
Sea swims
This leaves 19 hours a day to relax and repair. In the afternoons at The Body Camp you’ll find the following recovery activities:
Yoga
Stretching
Meditations
Sound baths
Breathwork
Partner stretching
Pool stretches
Recovery walks
PNF stretches
Massages/facials
Sleep
Breathing techniques
Here at The Body Camp, we have also discovered that this method reduces the risk of any injury and helps people with existing injuries get the most out of the programme, which we adapt accordingly for them. Therefore, relaxation, rest and recovery are the number one priorities here. The mind and body do get stronger in the gym but the real muscle is built while resting and repairing.
Rest assured when you return home, you’ll have become a much calmer, stronger and more relaxed person – people won’t recognise you!
