What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to make our little mini choccies for your loved one (or ones).
Cacao is a great source of magnesium, used in over 300 metabolic exchanges within the body, and of course is an aphrodisiac (need we say more).
Did we mention you can also get a little extra hit of protein as well? For every 100g of cacao, you can expect to get about 20g of protein too! It’s also great to add to smoothies, protein balls and brownies for an extra boost of amino acids.
MINI CHOCOLATES
Makes Lots
100g Almond butter
100g Cashew nut butter
100g Raw cacao powder
100g Raw coconut butter
100g Honey
1 Teaspoon vanilla powder or 1 vanilla bean or vanilla essence
Step 1: Melt the cacao butter in a bowl over simmering water and add the vanilla.
Step 2: Once it has melted, add the cacao powder and mix until smooth.
Step 3: Now add the rest of the ingredients and mix until smooth again.
Step 4: Pour the mixture into moulds and refrigerate until hard. 1 to 2 hours.
You can also add a little medicinal mushroom powder like chaga and reishi to help boost your immune system, helping your body stay fit and healthy during these cold winter months when we need a bit more TLC.
