FAQ

What can I expect from one week at The Body Camp?

The Body Camp offers an all in expert programme to motivate you to achieve your fitness, health and address your lifestyle changes to aid weight loss goals, along with learning how your behaviour and thoughts dictate your actions.

Each location offers something unique. Ibiza is life transformational “all in” program, Mallorca is fun fitness camp and based on larger numbers and optional afternoon activities with an all in morning. Uk is an intense fun fitness weekend with a big dollop of all the fun, food and vibes that run through the week long camps.

You will be able to see and feel the benefits of our programme when you leave.

Whether your with us for one or two weeks, are desperate to lose weight, tone up, get fitter, have a fun holiday or just love making the most of your time off to feel good by eating clean, you will have a huge, fun, life changing experience with our action packed programme, whilst enjoying the sunshine and beautiful surroundings of Ibiza and Mallorca. We aim to teach people to address lifestyle issues, by creating healthy eating habits and exercising for optimum health. We are NOT a rapid weight loss retreat focusing on starvation diets and over training – if this is your goal then we are not the place for you. We don’t use scales and we dont take body measurements at The Body Camp, you are welcome to do this before you come BUT we teach a good healthy lifestyle to put into your daily life, we are not a fast track way to be weight obsessed but how t0 be happy and in control yourself to make small changes and live the life you have dreamed of. We are also NOT a rehab facility for alcohol, drugs or any other addiction. If you think you have an addiction issue, then we advise that you seek professional help from medical practitioners. If you suffer from depression then you will know exercise and good diet help no end and a good mind training program will help you identify where you struggle and help empower you, however we are not a facility trained or equipped in anyway to help people with serious mental illness or suicidal thoughts.

Who comes to The Body Camp?

We attract people from a wide range of ages, sizes, backgrounds and nationalities, typically from 18 to 60. Everybody is welcome.

Do you allow villa bookings for groups or corporate teams?

Yes and these are very effective in team building and are amazing experiences for groups of friends and family. Please contact the office for information and quotes.

Can I get phone reception?

Yes, though we suggest keeping phone use to a minimum and try a bit of a device detox while you’re here. Both our locations are rural, so wifi reception can be intermittent.

When are you open?

We are open from April to October in Ibiza and May to November in Mallorca. Our 2020 season is as follows:

Ibiza 4th April – 26th September 2020.

Mallorca 4th May and then open all year round. We may close over the festive season, so please ask if you are interested in this time of year.

Uk TBC 2020

Will I be OK to come on my own?

Fifty percent of our guests come alone and make great friends. If you are worried about sharing with strangers we have single rooms available.

How hard is the training?

We have a daily set programme of exercise. This is expertly planned to maximise your workouts one day and rest various body parts the next. We also have teaching classes, cookery school & meditation so you have plenty of down time. We don’t aim to overwork your body just push you when you need it.

If your first reason for attending is weight loss, you will have to work to your maximum ability to get maximum results. However, our exercise plan will be tailored to your personal level of fitness.

I’m very unfit or overweight and afraid I won’t be able to do it?

We are here to guide and mentor you and provide you with the support to participate at the right level for you. Whilst we cater for all abilities of fitness, guests with serious long term issues such as back problems or spinal injuries will find the Body Camp programme very difficult and are advised not to come.

How much weight will I lose?

This varies from person to person, depending on how much weight you need to lose. We have had results ranging from 1lb to 12lbs in 1 week. The beauty of the programme is that you will go home having changed your habits and should continue to lose weight if you follow our guidelines. This always depends on your size, age, weight and the effort you put in when you are here. It’s your choice. Please note at The Body Camp we don’t use weighing scales to measure body fat loss or take any measurements, this can be done by you at home before you arrive.

What if I don’t want to lose weight?

If your focus is building strength and muscle or gaining weight, we will adjust your food portions by adding extra protein to your meals and including some vegan protein shakes. There will be a small additional cost for this.

I’m on medication, does this matter?

Yes, you will need to disclose all medication that you are taking. If you are on strong medication you MUST have a Doctor’s Note to say that you are able to participate in The Body Camp programme.

I am suffering from depression. Can I come to The Body Camp?

If you have a history of mental illness and are on medication for depression, we recommend that you talk to your Doctor to see if our programme would be suitable for you. We are not Health Care professionals and are not qualified to support guests with mental illness issues, including feeling suicidal or recently coming off strong anti-depressants or other prescription medication.

How do I get to camp and when?

Check in time at The Body Camp is from 4pm – 8pm on your arrival day ( Friday in Mallorca and Saturday in Ibiza) and check out is 9am, the following week. Anyone arriving late after 10pm cannot arrive at camp until the following morning.

Once you have booked your flights, please forward us your flight details. If you want to arrange a private transfer let us know and we will send you the information so that you can book it yourself.

Our villa in Ibiza is 60 minutes drive from Ibiza airport. You can also take a taxi, which is approximately 70 euros. You need to print off our directions and give a copy to the taxi driver, the name of the hotel in ibiza is Hotel Rural Astarte.  Our hotel in Mallorca is 30 minutes from Palma Airport and the best way to reach us is by taxi. The cost is approximately 45 euros. All details will be sent to you on booking.

Check in time is from 4pm – 8pm in Mallorca and Ibiza. If you arrive earlier, we can suggest things for you to do.

Uk arrival time is 5-8pm Wednesday. Dinner and Yoga will run on the first evening at 7pm and 8pm.

I have a hire car, where’s the map?

We will send you directions with your booking confirmation. When you collect your hire car, make sure that you ask for a map of the island. If you do get lost, you can phone us and we will come and meet you in the nearest village to guide you in.

What if I want to get a taxi or arrive late?

We strongly suggest that you get flights that enable you to arrive at our Ibiza villa by 4pm and also to use our transfer service, which is 70 euros each way. The villa is secluded and the island has limited postal codes and full address, so taxis won’t know where it is by the name or rough directions. We do have directions translated into Spanish, so if you plan to take a taxi, please print these off and take them with you for the driver. A taxi costs approximately 15 euros each way. Mallorca is reachable by Sat Nav and is well signed when you get close to our destination.

We start our camps at 4pm. This is when everyone will meet each other, do some goal setting, paperwork, all body stats and evening yoga. Arriving late means you will miss this important part of the introductions. If you, cannot arrive at this time then the cut off time for arrivals is strictly 10pm that night, NO LATER or you must book a B&B and join us at 7am the next morning.

What happens if I arrive at The Body Camp under the influence of alcohol or drugs or take them during my stay?

If you arrive at The Body Camp under the influence of drink or drugs or take them during your stay, you will be asked to leave immediately and will not be able to participate in our programme for health and safety reasons. No refund will be given under these circumstances.

Are we allowed to go out in the evening when staying at The Body Camp?

We advise that you don’t go out in the evening. The reason you have come to The Body Camp is to establish new habits and going out can lead to temptation and does not always support your goals. We have a zero tolerance for alcohol policy in place, so if you did request special permission to go out, we would ask that you please refrain from drinking and be mindful of affecting other guests enjoyment.

How often do our bedrooms get cleaned?

All rooms, bathrooms and shared areas are cleaned daily in Ibiza and every other day in Malloorca, Uk everyday.

Are towels provided?

Yes bath and hand towels are provided and changed whenever needed or on a mid week change. Sport towels are available to buy.

What times do we eat?

Generally the main meals of the day are enjoyed at the following times:

19:00 Dinner with 2 snack times.

This may vary on cookery demo days.

What do we eat?

You will be given a calorie restricted, mixed, clean menu which is 100% Plant based. By clean we mean no processed sugar, wheat, gluten, additives or chemicals will be used – just honest, fresh, locally sourced food in season. No animal products, meat or fish.

I have food allergies, can you cater for that?

Yes we can cater for food allergies. Our menu is 100% plant-based, so does not include meat, fish or dairy.  Please let us know before you come if you have any food allergies. Whilst our food is gluten-free, our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts are prepared and there is air-bourne gluten. We don’t cater for serious food allergies that require medical supervision, or medical conditions that require a specialise diet.

What happens if I injure myself on camp?

If you suffer any kind of injury whilst at the Body Camp, you are asked to report it immediately to a member of staff who can assess the injury, document it and assess your next plan of action.

What if I am too injured to carry on training?

If you need medical assistance and it is recommended that you stop exercising, you are welcome to stay and follow the diet or you may choose to leave. We recommend that you cover this on your holiday insurance, as no partial refunds will be given for weeks here, but we are happy to provide information you may need to claim on insurance.

Can I have beauty treatments during my stay?

We have a fabulous range of beauty treatments to de-stress you and make you look and feel amazing. We will give you our treatment menu on arrival so that you can book for the week ahead and anytime you wish to book more in the week, just speak with your villa host

Are massages available at the camp?

There are masseurs and beauty therapists on all sites. Best booked when you arrive  at camp, your manager will book around the program and advise who is available and when in the first day.
